Global Cultural Concepts and the Elements that Shape our Values
Inspired by readings and critical thinking regarding global cultures, cultural values, diversity, cultural virtues, and qualities of cosmopolitans in ECI 524 and ECI 620, through engaging metacognitive activities in lesson unit, I will engage my students in having a good knowledge of global cultural concepts and the impacts of cultural elements on people's values and belief as well as brief discussion of cultural stereotypes so as to prepare students for deep involvement in class.
“I am urging that we should learn about people in other places, take an interest in their civilizations, their arguments, their errors, their achievements, not because that will bring us to agreement, but because it will help us get used to one another.”
